This is a guest room I did in a house on Nantucket recently I made the duvet, euro shams and bolster. To the left are inverted pleat drapes I made. All the fabrics were linen or a linen blend. There is lots more to see from this house.

I'm back on Nantucket today after a bit of a delay. I was going to come here Saturday but decided to wait until after hurricane Bill had passed by. Completely unnecessary. Hurricane Bill didn't even cancel the fast ferry. On Monday, just before my departure my emergency warning light came on alerting me to get my breaks looked at immediately. My mechanic had told me 3 weeks earlier that I needed new break pads but I didn't believe him. Or rather I decided to bring the car into the BMW dealer who had put all new breaks and rotors only 2 1/2 years and 23,000 miles earlier.

I decided that if I really did need new breaks surely it was their fault and they would put new pads on for free immediately. Well I didn't make it all the way to Hyannis from So. New Hampshire. I got that baby into the shop within two hours and got it back all nice and new by 5:00.

I had to get up however at 6:15 am in order to get down to the cape and over to the Island on time for an installation. Photos to be shown later.

This is a recently completed bedroom for a very lucky child. Matching duvet, euro shams and roman shades made from a beautiful linen embroidery. Those two chairs will soon have 18" pillows made of the same fabric.

I made these Roman Shades for a house on Nantucket. They were made out of old curtain panels. They came out great!

New Slipcovers

I recently made these slipcovers for my sweetheart's mom's beach house in Watsonville CA. New carpet is going in this week and next fall we will be painting the walls. It's going to be beautiful!

I Made these Drapes last summer for a house on Nantucket. These side panels are in a downstairs bedroom.
They were made with one full width of fabric. Rod pocket w/ a small header and tassel fringe down the side.

These yellow drapery panels are a toille with matching wall paper. Pinch pleat and just skimming the floor.

I am the worst blogger. I am so determined to stay on top of it but I do not know where the time goes. Since my friend here in these photos was kind enought to encourage me and make herself a fan. I am posting this for you Bethany. I love your blog fullhookups.blogger.com. We are here in Carmel, CA on a beautiful day. I'm from the east coast and I understand it's like this all the time in Carmel. Just another day.

Nantucket can be a very quiet place in the winter. The population is so small that you can walk the downtown streets in the winter and see no one as you pass closed up shop after closed up shop waiting for spring. So it is always great to get together with friends and that was just what we did on this night. If it had not been for us, the Brotherhood would have probably closed an hour earlier. Thank you Susan, Lu, Keely, Cristina and Susan for a fun evening.
